there is something truly powerful in the idea that if we must be judged in the court of public opinion, that we could each be judged, not by our gender or apparent age, not by our looks or lack of "fashion sense", but by the worth of our ideas. We could be ethereal, unseen wisps eclipsed by the songs that we sing and the art that we present. we could be genuinely sharing.
but, where ever we go, there we are. human beings continue to be human. and so youtube is a microcosm of the outside world, replete with intolerance and hateful words spit at each other across cyberspace.

Beauty is in the eye(s) of the beholder. This applies to "art" in its various forms. Sometimes, it takes a little time and patience to appreciate the beauty. We live in very impatient times where people demand instantaneous gratification. Understanding takes longer than a nanosecond. It is much easier to become defensive than to THINK.
