more thoughts about entertainment vs art

this youtube experience has caused all kinds of dendritic growth in my brain. new technologies to learn, different kinds of social protocol on line, creating video from stills, creating music on a computer, etc.

while hanging laundry, watching hummingbirds, and trying (but failing) to be in the moment, it occurred to me that maybe the difference between art and entertainment is about context. both require some creative capacity. both may come from the heart (as was the case with my wheezy fan song-i do love that guy!). but maybe what makes one thing art and another entertainment is whether others find a meaningful message in it beyond the context in which it was created. maybe...
